Detailed information about the dongle driver and its keys can now be viewed directly from the LMU.

Dongles are USB devices which are used for securing certificate licenses. There are 4 types of dongles that are supported by LMU.

CMD.06 (Type II) Driverless Dongles

CMD.06 (Type II) Driverless Dongle (pre-formatted) is shown in the picture below. These dongles have "golden" letters.
IDs of this type of dongles are in the following format: 0730748642 (a 10 digit number). When a dongle is plugged into the LMU, system displays the ID on the GUI.

CMD.06 (Type I) Driverless Dongles

CMD.06 (Type I) Driverless Dongle (un-formatted) is shown in the picture below. These dongles have "golden" letters.
IDs of this type of dongles are in the following format: 0730748642 (a 10 digit number). When a dongle is plugged into the LMU, system displays the ID on the GUI.
The new Software Protection Dongle CMD.06 replace the existing product CMD.04. This new key is fully supported by LMS since LMU 2.4.815, it is compatible to all the applications using LMS. For older installations an upgrade to a newer LMU version may be required. To store certificate licenses on the dongle you need to format the dongle CMD.06

CMD.04 Driverless Dongles

CMD.04 Driverless Dongle is shown in the picture below. "new" dongles have "golden" letters.
IDs of this type of dongles are in the following format: 1346783461 (a 10 digit number).
When a dongle is plugged into the LMU, system displays the ID on the GUI.

CMD.04 Dongles

CMD.04 Dongle is shown in the picture below. "old" dongles have "white" letters
IDs of this type of dongles are in the following format: 1346783461 (a 10 digit number).
When a dongle is plugged into the LMU, system displays the ID on the GUI.

Dongle ID Visualization in Physical Machine

A green dot appears on Product Family view for each certificate license, if the dongle assigned for this license is plugged into the machine.
