- You are in Data Setup.
- The building structure has been created in Data Setup.
- An asset has been created in Asset Essentials.
- The asset has been connected to Operations Manager. See Connecting assets with Operations Manager.
- Select the partition the building is associated with.
- Go to Hierarchy.
- In the Structure, scroll down to the Unlinked Equipment folder.
- Expand the folder and locate your piece of equipment.
You can also use the search bar and filter function to locate your piece of equipment.
- Go to the Relationships card.
- For Located, select Edit.
- In the Select new location dialog, select the building where the piece of equipment belongs.
- In the Relationships card, for Controlled by, select + Add data points.
- The piece of equipment is now linked to Building X.
- Work orders can be manually created and sent to Asset Essentials from Operations Manager. See Creating a work order manually.
- Automatic work order creation for the data point can now be activated in Operations Manager. See Activating automatic work order creation.
