A workspace serves as a location for all data science teams to work collaboratively when building data science products. Visit the Databricks documentation for more information about workspaces: https://docs.databricks.com/workspace/index.html. Each user has access to two workspaces: one workspace for development and one for production.

The development workspace is defined for daily work, such as coding, building and training models. This workspace is also used to test connections to other consuming applications that are still in development, testing model performance, experimenting and further ad-hoc analysis activities.

The production workspace is defined for connecting deployed data products to versions of consuming applications in production.

The name of the workspace consists of the company name (**) and the workspace type.
