The wireless room unit (WRU) contains both an integrated temperature sensor and a HMI for adjustment of the setpoint. It extends the operational range of the wireless room actuators. The interworking requires the function Calculate effective room temperature.
The setpoint and temperature measured by the WRU in a room are sent to the WRA devices. The effective room temperature setpoint is visible in the WRA detail card. The WRU allows specifying a temperature correction. The devices are supported by OTA updates.
Note: A Thread border router must be commissioned before any wireless room unit can be commissioned.
- A Thread border router or mesh extender of which the WRU is in coverage has been installed and is powered on.
- Go to Scan and assign and choose WRU device to commission by selecting its Assign button. Please note that the status of the device must be as described under Before you start. Click Next to continue.
- Click Scan and direct the scanner onto the QR code on the product.
- Select Thread border router to assign the device to from the drop-down menu.
- The Thread device is automatically onboarded. Confirm by clicking Save and then Next.
- The Thread device is automatically configured and is ready to use.
