Room operating mode scheduler
The room operating mode scheduler is used to switch operating mode between Comfort, Economy, and Protection. It is represented in a calendar where schedules can be created and set to recurring on a daily or weekly basis.
- The scheduler has been added to the system, assigned to one or more rooms, and deployed.
- In Commissioning > Functions, open the calendar with Edit.
- Select Edit again to unlock the scheduler.
- Select a day of the week and a time to create a new setpoint. Select the room operating mode.
- Change the activation time of the operating mode switch by sliding it up or down, followed by Save.
- To copy a daily schedule to another day, select Copy. Mark the day to copy the schedule to, select Next, the day to copy to, and Paste.
- The room operating mode scheduler is updated.
Ways of changing room operating mode
The room operating mode (Comfort/Economy/Protection) can be influenced in three ways:
- Thermostat HMI button
- The operating mode set on the thermostat is applied to the system. Depending on the thermostat settings, the manual entry may be either permanent or changed with the next switching point in the scheduler or a change on the thermostat detail card in the cloud app.
- Room operating mode scheduler
- Set switching points are applied to all thermostats associated with the scheduler, and the current mode is displayed on the thermostat HMI (Sun/Moon/Protection).
- Detail card
- On the detail card in the cloud app, the room operating mode can be set for a single thermostat.
- A manual change is only valid until the next switching point occurs in the scheduler.
Note: The room operating mode can be also set to Pre-Comfort (Siemens standard room operating mode). Depending on configuration, the Pre-Comfort mode is transferred to either Comfort or Economy.
Note: The default setting is applied at midnight as a fixed switching point.
