You can set up an Ethernet connection using the Siemens WLAN stick (POL903). Additionally, you can connect an Android mobile device with the POL448 via USB.

 

Connection via Ethernet using the WLAN stick

  • POL448 is connected to the power supply.
  • The WLAN stick is connected to the POL448 using a USB-A to USB-C adapter.
  1. Press the T5 button of the POL448 for 3 seconds using an unfolded paper clip or another narrow metal pin.
  • The communication via WLAN stick is activated for 1 hour.
  1. Connect the mobile device to the wireless network of the Siemens WLAN stick. For the default login data see #3 reading list.
  1. In the Climatix GS app, tap 'Connect to device'.
  1. Select WLAN Stick.
  • The following details of the WLAN stick connection to the POL448 are displayed: (User) Name, Password, IP address and PIN.
  1. Edit the details to connect to the POL448. The login data are application specific; address to your POL448 application administrator.
  1. Tap 'Log in'.
  • The app displays "Connection successful". In the status bar, there is a WLAN symbol and the red or blue cloud symbol.

 

Connection via USB (Android devices)

  • POL448 is connected to the power supply.
  • The mobile device is connected to the POL448 using USB. On the mobile device side, the adapter (cable) needs OTG function.
  1. In the Climatix GS app, tap 'Connect to device'.
  1. Select ‘USB (Android).
  1. The following details of the USB connection to the POL448 are displayed: (User) Name, Password and PIN.
  1. Edit the details to connect to the POL448. The login data are application specific; address to your POL448 application administrator
  1. Tap 'Log in'.
  1. The app displays "Connection successful". In the status bar, there is a USB symbol and the red or blue cloud symbol.
