The Climatix GS app lets the installer perform connection settings for a POL448 and activate it in Climatix IC without using any additional tools or the Climatix IC web interface. However, in order to be able to understand system messages, a wider knowledge of the installation process is useful.

  • The Climatix GS app operates in the trias between the mobile device on which the app is installed, the POL448 and Climatix IC.
  • The pre-settings of the POL448 are ready for Internet and Cloud integration: In most cases, it will automatically connect to Climatix IC once it has been connected to the Internet via an Ethernet connection (Reference to Network chapter in Climatix IC documentation, #4 reading list). If required, custom network configuration can be performed in the Device IP Settings menu.
  • During pre-registration, the POL448 is ex factory assigned to a so-called tenant area. The same applies to the installer in Climatix IC that is password-protected.
  • The main function of the Climatix GS app is to activate a POL448 that is connected locally to the mobile device on which the app is installed. Activating means finalizing the pre-registration in Climatix IC. The Climatix GS app supports two different scenarios:
    • The POL448 is connected to the Cloud during activation. In this case, the activation key can be read automatically (see Activating POL448 in Climatix IC, With existing…).
    • The POL448 is not connected to the power supply and not connected to the Climatix GS app during activation. In this case, the activation code must be entered by scanning a QR code (see Activating POL448 in Climatix IC, Without exitsting…).
