To create an online lock and assign it to a gateway, proceed as follows:
- The SALTO gateway has been created. See Creating SALTO gateway.
- In vertical navigation, open Configuration > Locks.
- Select Create.
- Select Online from Device type dropdown list.
- The Standard operating mode is pre-selected. Select Office from the dropdown list if needed.
The lock ID is alphanumeric with uppercase letters from A to F. It has a length of 14 characters. Example: 1234567890ABCD. The lock ID is printed on the lock.
- Enter the lock ID that is unique for a lock in the Lock text field.
- To assign the lock to the gateway, select the gateway from the Gateway dropdown list.
- Select Save.
- The created lock is displayed in the Locks list.
Now the lock must be commissioned in the SALTO Nebula app. See Commissioning locks and gateway using SALTO Nebula app.
The lock must be installed in a range of up to 10 m from the gateway.
