The Card Management settings are specific to a company and required to ensure that the ID card is properly configured and functional immediately after printing.
This configuration includes the default card definition and credential definition settings. Card definition is applicable to both physical credentials and virtual credentials.
Follow the steps below to configure ID card Settings:
- Card definitions are created. For more information, refer to: Creating ID card definitions.
- Configuration > System settings is displayed.
- Under Settings, click Card Management.
- Click Edit.
- Select the required card definition from the Card Definition dropdown list.
- The Credential Definition dropdown options are listed based on the selected card definition.
- Select the required credential definition.
The Enable Produced Card checkbox applies to physical credentials only.
- Ensure that no ID card is assigned to the identity and select the Enable Produced Card checkbox to activate the ID card immediately after printing.
- Click Save.
- The default card definition settings for ID cards are saved.
