The leading data source configuration helps to avoid conflicts when synchronizing the data between the PACS and Security Manager.

To configure the leading data source, perform the following steps:

• The connection of the PACS is created and displayed in Security Manager. See Connecting Physical Access Control Systems.

1. In vertical navigation, click Configuration > Connections.

2. Select the connected PACS from the Connections list to configure the leading data source.

• The name, type, subtype and merge ID of the selected connection are displayed.

The default selected leading data source is Security Manager.

3. To edit the configuration, click Edit.

4. When you select the PACS option, the value of the attribute in the PACS will be set as leading data source and updates to the attribute are synchronized accordingly.

5. When you select the Security Manager option, the value of the attribute in Security Manager will be set as leading data source and updates to the attribute are synchronized accordingly. .

6. Click Save.

• The leading data source is now configured.
