Configuring the leading data source helps prevent conflicts when synchronizing data between the PACS and Security Manager.

To configure the leading data source, perform the following steps:

• Configuration > Connections is displayed.

• The connection of the PACS is created and displayed in Security Manager. For more details, see Connecting Physical Access Control Systems.

By default, Security Manager is set as the leading data source.

1. Select the connected PACS from the Connections list to configure the leading data source.

• The connection details, including name, type, subtype, and unique identifier, are displayed.

2. Click Edit to edit the configuration.

3. Choose one of the following options:

• PACS: The value of the attribute in the PACS will be set as leading data source and updates to the attribute are synchronized accordingly.

• Security Manager: The value of the attribute in Security Manager will be set as leading data source and updates to the attribute are synchronized accordingly.

4. Click Save.

• The leading data source is now configured.
