To synchronize the data between the PACS and Security Manager, some settings need to be made in Security Manager.

  • Prerequisite: The connection of the PACS is created and displayed in Security Manager. See Connecting Physical Access Control Systems.
  1. Click Edit.
  1. Select the required entry from the Subtype drop-down list:
  • SiPass
  • SIPORT
  • Third-party
  • CSV importer. See Automatic File Importer 1.0_Installation and Configuration guide.
  1. Select the required entry from the Merge ID drop-down list.

The Merge ID is used to merge cardholders in the PACS and in Security Manager identities. The selected attribute must contain a unique identifier for each cardholder or identity, for example an email address. The selected value in the Merge ID will be used to find the cardholder or identity and all data is merged during synchronization.

Depending on the selected subtype the different merge ID values can be selected. Following options are available:

SIPORT

If SIPORT is selected, the following values can be selected in Merge ID field:

  • Email: Data between UIM and the PACS is merged based on [Email].
  • Personnel number: Data between UIM and the PACS is merged based on [Personnel number].

SiPass

If SiPass is selected, the following values can be selected in Merge ID field:

  • Email: Data between UIM and the PACS is merged based on [Email].
  • Employee number: Data between UIM and the PACS is merged based on [Employee number].

Third-party

If Third-party is selected, you must specify which cardholder attribute (only one) is used as the unique identifier in the PACS.

This attribute needs to be added in the JSON payload in the key field.

CSV importer

No merge ID required

  1. Configure the leading data source. See Configuring leading data source.
  1. Click Save.
  1. The settings for the PACS is now configured.

Once you have set the merge ID and started synchronization, the setting can no longer be changed. You must delete the connection and start with a new installation.
