The following user interface elements can be found on the dashboard:

Description

The Settings button provides you with the possibility to create new widgets and reset their configuration to default, as well as save your changes. To enable the configuration mode, click it. The following options are available:

  • Templates: It displays templates available on the dashboard. The following options are available:
    • Empty: It provides the possibility to create a template from scratch. By clicking the Empty tag, no widgets are visible on the dashboard.
    • Default: It provides the possibility of restoring your settings to their original configuration. By clicking the Default tag, all widgets are displayed by default on the dashboard. For more information on all widgets available in Security Manager, refer to: Widgets.
  • Create widget: It provides the possibility to create a new widget. Click it and select the widgets from the list that you want to add to the dashboard. Also, you can specify the data to be displayed in a new widget by selecting an appropriate site or corresponding tags. For more information refer to: Creating widgets.
  • Cancel: It provides the possibility to cancel your changes and close the configuration mode.
  • Save: It provides the possibility to save your changes and preferences. The following options are available:
    • For myself only: It provides the possibility to save the configuration as your personal default configuration.
    • As template: It provides the possibility to save templates and share them with other users.

Widgets' functionality

After enabling the configuration mode, the following options are available:

  • Delete: It provides the possibility to delete any widget from the dashboard. For more information refer to: Deleting widgets.
  • Edit: It provides the possibility to edit widgets. By clicking the Edit button, you can rename the widget and specify the data to be displayed on it. For more information refer to: Editing widgets.

The size and placement of each widget on the dashboard can be customized as desired.

  • To rearrange widgets, hover over a widget until the move selector icon is displayed and move the widget to the position where you want to place it.
  • To resize widgets, hover over the lower right corner of a widget and increase or decrease its size.

The arrow icon is displayed in the widgets' upper right corner. Click it, to navigate to the respective dashboard and investigate the widgets' data in detail. If a widget is labeled with a predefined site or tag, Security Manager will not only redirect the user to the designated dashboard but will also automatically set the selected site or tag as a filter on the destination dashboard. This ensures that users not only get to the relevant information quickly but also receive contextually filtered data based on the site or tag associated with the widget they clicked.

The location icon is displayed in the widgets' lower left corner. It is used to provide information about the site that you have selected as a filter for the data to be displayed on the dashboard.

The label icon is displayed in the widgets' lower left corner. It is used to provide information about the tags that you have selected as filters for the data to be displayed on the dashboard.

The scrollbar arrows are displayed at the widget's bottom. By clicking one of the arrow buttons, you can scroll up or down the lists to get more information about the data displayed on the widget.

The horizontal slider is displayed at the widget's bottom. By default, the data displayed in the widget is presented side by side. More information, such as more sites, is displayed by scrolling the horizontal slider to the right.
