Here you can assign new credentials, change existing credentials and make settings to allow users of the Access app to use ID cards, virtual credentials and the Apple Wallet functionality.
In addition, you can also disable the usage of Access app for specific users, for example external employees.
- Click Access > Identities.
- In the Identities list, select an identity to which you want to assign credentials.
- Open the Credentials tab and click Edit.
- You can assign new credentials, or you can change existing credentials.
Assigning physical credentials
- In Physical credentials, click Assign.
- Enter the ID card number.
- If the card should be valid for a certain time interval, enter the date and time in the Valid from and To fields.
By default, the Indefinite checkbox is selected. While the Indefinite checkbox is selected, the To field becomes read-only and displays the message Indefinite.
- Select the SALTO Nebula checkbox to assign a physical credential for usage of SALTO Nebula locks.
Only one SALTO Nebula physical credential can be assigned to an identity.
- Click Assign.
- The credential is assigned and listed under Physical credentials.
Editing physical credentials
- To change the ID card number or the validity of an existing credential, click
Edit and change the values.
- Click Assign to save the changes.
- To enable or disable the credentials, proceed as follows:
- Select the checkbox to enable the credential. By default, the checkbox is selected.
- The status displays as Active.
- Clear the check box to disable the credential.
- The status displays as Inactive.
- To unassign an existing credential, click
Delete.
- The credential is removed.
- Click Save to save your settings.
- The credential settings are synchronized with the connected access control system.
- The physical credential has been updated.
Assigning virtual ID card and virtual credentials
- Default settings of the virtual credentials are configured. For more information, see Building X Security Manager Onboarding Online Help, chapter Configuring virtual credentials.
- To activate the usage of the Building X Access app for users and display the user“s virtual ID card in the app, select Enable virtual ID card in Building X Access app checkbox.
- An ID card appear automatically after the user logs in to the Access app on a smart phone.
NOTICE
If the Enable virtual ID card in Building X Access app checkbox is deactivated,
- ID cards are hidden in the Access app
- All virtual credentials and Apple Wallet credentials are revoked
- No virtual credential or Apple Wallet credentials will be generated and provided to the user
- Virtual credentials cannot be activated via PACS. If you try to activate virtual credentials there, an alert will be generated in Activity Log.
- To use virtual credentials in the Access app, select Enable virtual credentials checkbox.
- Virtual credentials appear automatically after the user logs in to the Access app on a smart phone.
Using Apple Wallet
- To use the Apple Wallet functionality, select the Enable Apple Wallet checkbox.
- The Apple Wallet functionality appear automatically after the user logs in to the Access app on a smart phone.
