The Access denied, readers dashboard provides an overview of all card readers available in Security Manager, accesses denied by these card readers and the trend. On the right-hand side of the screen, there is a heatmap displaying the number and the reason of accesses denied by a particular card reader. An example of an access denied event could be an invalid PIN or an unknown company ID card. At the bottom of the screen, there is a column chart comparing the number of accesses denied by a particular card reader during the selected period with the previous period.
Card readers list
The card readers list displays card readers, the number of accesses denied by a specific card reader, and its trend during the selected period.
You can specify the sorting direction for the respective column. If the arrow points upwards, the sorting is performed in ascending order. Lower values are displayed first. If the arrow points downwards, the sorting is performed in descending order. Higher values are displayed first.
In case of descending ordering, 50 card readers with the highest traffic are displayed. In case of ascending ordering, 50 card readers with the lowest traffic are displayed.
Card reader: It displays all card readers. To sort card readers by name, click Card reader.
Access denied: It displays the number of accesses denied. To sort card readers by it, click Access denied.
Trend: It helps to evaluate trends for each individual card reader in order to recognize, if the number of accesses denied has increased or decreased in comparison with the previous period. With previous period comparison, you can compare your data to the period of time directly before the current period. To sort card readers by the number of trends, click Trend.
Access denied heatmap
On the right-hand side of the screen, there is a diagram. When you click a card reader in the card readers list, it is visualized in the heatmap. You can hover over cells of the heatmap. The horizontal axis displays the time in hours. The vertical axis displays messages received from the subsystem connected.
Depending on whether a single day or several days are selected in the Calendar bar as the period, the time in hours and the number of accesses denied at this particular time or the date and the number of accesses denied at this particular day are displayed. The heatmap includes a vertical visual map slider, and a horizontal data zoom slider. The vertical visual map slider filters events based on the count between the minimum and maximum range of the available event count. By default, the high outliers are displayed in the heatmap. The vertical visual map slider helps you to filter outliers in a specific range. The horizontal data zoom slider provides the possibility to zoom into a specific hour or period, allowing you to investigate the data in detail.
All sites drop-down list
You can display the number of accesses denied by card readers at the selected site.
Therefore, select the site from the All sites drop-down list. For more information, refer to: All sites.
Tags drop-down list
You can filter the number of accesses denied by card readers based on a specific tag you have created.
Therefore, select the tag from the Tags drop-down list. For more information, refer to: Tags.
Trend column chart
At the bottom of the screen, there are two diagrams. When you click a card reader in the card readers list, it is visualized in the column charts. You can hover over bars of the column charts. The horizontal axis displays the time in hours. The vertical axis displays the number of accesses denied for a specific card reader.
