- Connect a smartphone or PC to the KNX IoT to BACnet/IP gateway via Ethernet or WLAN, e.g., connect to the local WLAN of the gateway by searching for the KNBAxxxx1D SSID on the WLAN. The SSID refers to the serial number of the device (printed on the rear of the device). Initial connection does not require a password.
- Enter the URL of the KNX IoT to BACnet/IP gateway: https://192.168.8.1
- Depending on the browser (Chrome or Edge browsers are recommended), a warning may be displayed. Select Advanced and Continue to 192.168.8.1 (unsafe)
- Select the language
- Set a new, strong password: Min. 8 characters including uppercase letters, lowercase letters, special characters, and numbers. Select Next.
- Set up a WLAN password. Select Same as Admin Password as desired. Select Submit.
- The KNX IoT to BACnet/IP gateway reboots to apply the new settings.
- Reconnect the smartphone or PC to the specific KNX IoT to BACnet/IP gateway via WLAN or Ethernet using the password configured previously, enter the URL of the KNX IoT to BACnet/IP gateway (192.168.8.1), and log in to the local web interface.
