Choosing network mode

After you sign in to the Connect X200 device, complete the following instructions:

  • Separate networks: Select this option if your building automation network and Internet use two different physical network connections. In this case, connect the LAN cable to your building automation network, and your WAN to the Internet.
  • Combined network: Select this option if your building automation network, and the Internet, use the same physical network connection. In this case, use the LAN for both the Internet and building automation.
  1. Select a network connection mode.

This selection is not reversible. Verify your building’s network connection mode before making a selection. A Reset Configuration is required to change this selection, which will result in loss of existing network configuration and project data.

  1. The following warning message displays if you select Combined network:

  1. Select Accept.
