When Events is selected in the horizontal navigation bar, Event List displays in the main work area of the user interface.

Event List Workspace

The Event List application is your main starting point for dealing with the detected events. This event handling application displays all the detected events, with each one on a separate row. For instructions, see the step-by-step section.

Event filter

Lets you filter the events in Event List by multiple criteria.
For instructions, see Filter by Multiple Criteria.

Contains the event details for the event currently being processed.
For reference, see Columns Details, below.

Event icon

Graphic indicator of an event in the system.

Vertical ellipsis

Lets you open the Customize columns dialog box.

Columns Details

In Event List, each individual row contains all the details about an event (for example, cause, state, and so on).

 

The columns that display in the event row and their order may vary depending on column customization. For instructions, see Customizing the Columns in Event List.

Event Icon

Each individual row starts on the left-hand side with a graphic indicator that summarizes some of the most important information about that event.
NOTE: You cannot move, resize, or remove the event icon column.

The event icon flashes until you acknowledge its associated event.

Category color

The events that occur in the building control system belong to categories, which are color-coded by severity.

Event Cause

Description of the event followed by the condition (either numeric value or descriptive text) that caused the event.
For example, Temperature too high (39°C), Fault (INACTIVE), and so on.
This description changes when the event source passes from the Active to the Quiet state.

State

Describes the status of the event source: Active (event source is in an off-normal condition) or Quiet (event source is back to normal).
It also indicates the number of recurring events. For more details, see Handling Recurrences of an Event.
NOTE: You cannot resize the State column.

Date/Time

Date and time when the event occurred.
Typically, event time displays with resolution hh:mm:ss:ms.

Timer

Indicates that a countdown timer is active for that unprocessed event. When the countdown ends, the event will be escalated.
NOTE: Depending on your profile, the Timer column might not be available, or might be available, but you cannot resize or remove it.

Source

The object property that issued the event.
Whether the name or description displays depends on the current display mode.

Belongs To

Parent of the object property that issued the event.
Whether the name or description displays depends on the current display mode.

Path

The entire System Browser path of the object that issued the event.
Whether the name or description displays depends on the current display mode.

Commands

Available command for handling the event. You can directly select the button to send the corresponding command.

Next to a command, select to view the list of commands in a popup; text in dark gray indicates the command that can be issued.
NOTE: You cannot resize the Commands column.
