Situation

Do the following...

No connection to the building management platform.

When you try to log in, and WSI is unreachable.

Wait until the connection is reestablished.

See your system administrator.

The user name or password is incorrect.

Invalid user credentials and you cannot log in.

Enter valid user name or password.

Credentials of account are expired and need to get changed first.

Password has expired, and you cannot log in.

Update the password.

A needed license is missing or expired.

One or more licenses are missing or expired, and Flex Client cannot start.

See your system administrator.

A required license option is missing.

One or more license options are missing, and Flex Client cannot start.

See your system administrator.

The network connection to the system is lost.

The Flex Client screen is grayed out and Flex Client cannot be used because there are connectivity problems to the web service (for example, network cable disconnected or web service down).

Wait until the connection is reestablished.

See your system administrator.

Graphics Viewer

Issue

Possible solutions…

Graphics not displaying in a distributed environment.

In SMC, under System > Services verify that the GMS_WCCILpmon_[ProjectName]service is configured with the Windows user with Log on as a service rights. This enables the WSI to have access to the files via the share.

Graphics not displaying changes made on the server.

  • Clear the browser cache. Steps vary depending on browser and device type.
  • Restart the browser session.

Graphics not displaying properly in the Firefox browser.

Disable the Firefox Hardware acceleration feature.

The following do not display or open as expected:

  • Tooltips
  • Windows applications

These are limitations of the Graphics Viewer in the Flex Client.

Currently there are no workarounds.

#COM (Communication Error)

The data point is resolved, but not communicating with the device.

  • Reconfigure the driver
  • Service the device in case of malfunction
  • Reconnect the device
  • Verify device wired properly

 

#REF (Reference Error)

Symbol cannot be located.

  • Check file shares and permissions
  • Confirm if Symbols still exist (not deleted)
  • Confirm Symbols converted to SVG, or
  • To convert the Symbol to SVG, in the management station, run the Consistency Checker tool:
