If you have non-application P1 devices that are not contained in the CT database, these devices can be discovered using CT Database Update Tool (CTDUT). NOTE: These devices must be defined in the CT database for accurate estimation and complete migration to PXC7.A. See the CT Database Update Tool in CT for more information.
In order to upgrade MBC/MEC to the PXC7.A, the existing Fast Forward Tool will be used to migrate to a PXC Modular. This pre-work is required (using CT FF) to complete prior to converting the final step in DT+.
Migrating to the PXC Modular provides the “container” to convert the MBC/MEC data (slope/intercepts, sensor types, etc.). The actual PXC modular hardware configuration in the FF tool is not relevant to the final PXC7.A migration.
The TX-I/O will be reused, ensure the configuration/selections are appropriate for the final migration to the PXC7.A.
