When referencing other BACnet objects, using the named reference is required. The named reference can be the object name if it is part of the ALN, or use the encoded BACnet name. The following BACnet objects use named references:
- Objects with intrinsic alarming enabled (L2SL, LFSSL, LOOAL, LFSSP, LOOAP, and L2SP) - feedback object reference (proof point)
- Trend Log - monitoring referenced object
- Event Enrollment - monitoring referenced object

Binary Output, Multi-state Output | Feedback object | BACnetObjectIdentifier |
Event enrollment | Monitored object | BACnetDeviceObjectPropertyReference |
