Sensor sharing allows Binary Input and Analog Input objects on a P1 TEC to be writeable so that the value from one sensor can be shared across multiple TECs. When Sensor-Sharing is enabled, applications are allowed to write to the input object's present-value property. This will send a command to the P1 TEC so that the P1 TEC application can use this value in its control algorithm. When sensor sharing is disabled the TEC will release the point so the application can use the local sensor that is connected.

Connecting directly to the TEC via the room thermostat allows writing to input values when sensor-sharing is true or false.
