Totalizations allow object-specific data totalizations forming the basis for virtual metering, determining maintenance, key performance indicators and data analytics.

Different Totalization-Extensions provide dedicated functions to aggregate data during a totalization period, as well as storing the totalized results of the previous period.

Object Types Supporting Totalization

  • Output Objects: Analog-Output, Binary-Output, Multi-State-Output
  • Process Value Objects: Analog-Process-Value, Binary-Process-Value, Multi-State-Process-Value
  • Input Objects: Analog-Input, Binary-Input

For binary and enumerated objects (LDO, LDI, L2SL, L2SP, LOOAL, LOOAP, LFSSL, and LFSSP), totalization tracks the amount of time that the object spends in each state.
NOTE: Totalization is not supported for LENUM objects.

For analog objects (LAO, LAI) and analog values, totalization aggregates the value at a specified rate.
