The Selective unbundle subpoint editor creates points for individual TEC device objects. Points that were created by the global unbundler are also synchronized to the select unbundler.
Creating selective subpoints
- A P1 Peripheral device object has been created.
- Go to Object view > Field bus.
- Expand the P1 Fln view node.
- Click on a TEC view node.
- In the object management area, the TEC device object will display second in the list. Click
to open the its properties.
- In the properties view, click Selective unbundle to select points.
- To make a selection, click on a point and enter * or any characters without spaces in the text field. The selection will be marked with * regardless of user input.
- Click
to save.
- As points are selected and saved in the properties view, they will appear to the left in the object management area.
Clearing selective subpoints
Selective subpoints are created when a subpoint is chosen with either the selective unbundler or the global unbundler. The procedure for clearing selective subpoints depends on how they were created.
Subpoints that were created with the selective unbundler only need to be cleared from the selective unbundler. To clear selective subpoints that were only created with the selective unbundler, skip Step 4 in the procedure below.
Subpoints that were created with the global unbundler must first be cleared from the global unbundler and then can be cleared from the selective unbundler. If you try to clear a point from the selective unbundler first, the global unbundler will automatically resynchronize the subpoint to the selective unbundler. To clear selective subpoints created with the global unbundler, perform the optional steps outlined in the procedure below.
- Go to Object view > Field bus.
- Expand the P1 Fln view node.
- Click on a TEC peripheral device object.
- (Optional) For subpoints that were created with the global unbundler:
- In the object management area, the application team will display first in the list. Click to open its properties.
- In the properties view, click Global unbundle to deselect points for that TEC device object.
- Click on the selected point and clear the text field.
- Click to save.
- Continue with Step 5.
- In the object management area, the TEC device object will display second in the list. Click to open its properties.
- In the properties view, click Selective unbundle to deselect points for that TEC device object.
- Click on the selected point and clear the text field.
- Click to save.
- Once a point has been successfully cleared, it will disappear from the object management area.
