Backup/restore database

The Backup/restore database button directs users to a page where they can backup the database of an existing controller or upload a previously saved version to the device.

Artifacts that are tied to a device serial number, such as web certificates, BACnet/SC certificates, and licenses are not saved when you create a backup of the database.
A backup can only be restored to another device of the same type and firmware revision. Restoring a backup to a different device type or a device with a different firmware revision could result in compatibility issues between the controller's firmware and the loaded database.
The ability to create and restore backups depends on a user's privileges. See Configuring backup/restore privileges.

The web backup/restore feature can only backup and restore data between controllers of the same type and with the same node setup.
