When you create certain analog objects and certain binary objects, you must configure the Subsystem property to enable signal type selection. The Subsystem property must be configured for Analog Input, Analog Output, Pulse Converter, Binary Input, and Binary Output objects.
- The Properties view is open.
- Use the Subsystem drop-down menu to make a selection.
- For Analog Input objects, select Measuring.
- For Analog Output objects, select Positioning.
- For Pulse Converter objects, select Impulse counter.
- For Binary Input objects, select Switch I/O.
- For Binary Output objects, select Switch on/off.
- Click
to save.
- The Signal type property appears.
- Choose a signal type from the drop-down menu.
- Click to save.
