The Global unbundle subpoint editor creates points for TEC device objects that share the same application number. When selections are made with the global unbundler, they are synchronized globally and locally to all P1 TEC device objects on the device with the same application number.
Creating global subpoints
- A P1 TEC peripheral device object has been created.
- Go to Object view > Field bus.
- Expand the P1 Fln view node.
- Click on a TEC peripheral device object.
- In the object management area, the application team displays first in the list. Click
to open its properties.
- In the properties view, click Global unbundle to select points.
- To make a selection, click on a point and enter * or any characters without spaces in the text field. The selection will be marked with * regardless of user input.
- Click
to save.
- As points are selected and saved in the properties view, they will appear to the left in the object management area.
- Global subpoints synchronize to global unbundler and the selective unbundler.
Clearing global subpoints
Although the global unbundler selects subpoints for all TEC device objects with the same application number, they must be cleared from each TEC peripheral device object. Global subpoints can be removed with the global unbundler and still be selected with the selective unbundler. To clear a subpoint from both unbundlers, clear the subpoint from the global unbundler first, and then clear it from the selective unbundler.
- Go to Object view > Field bus.
- Expand the P1 Fln view node.
- Click on a TEC peripheral device object.
- In the object management area, the application team displays first in the list. Click to open its properties.
- In the properties view, click Global unbundle to deselect subpoints for that TEC device object.
- Click on the selected subpoint and clear the text field.
- Click to save.
- The subpoint has been cleared from the global unbundler. Do not continue with the procedure if you want to keep the subpoints in the selective unbundler.
- (Optional) To also clear subpoints from the selective unbundler:
- In the object management area, the TEC device object will display second in the list. Click to open the its properties.
- In the properties view, click Selective unbundle to deselect points for that TEC device object.
- Click on the selected point and clear the text field.
- Click to save.
- Repeat for each individual TEC device object.
- Once a point has been successfully cleared, it will disappear from the object management area. Subpoints that are still selected in the selective unbundler will continue to display in the object management area.
