Modules are created using the add new TXIO Peripheral Device Object template and require pre-configuration. New objects will automatically be given a name, description, and device instance number, but these properties can be modified. TX-I/O objects must have unique module addresses and names. Use this procedure to create a new module using the Templates application.
TX-I/O support is limited to C and D series modules.
- Click
to open the add new TXIO Peripheral Device Object template's properties. All supported TX-I/O module types are listed in the drop-down menu.
- Configure the I/O address property.
- The property will display as IO-1:M=?;. Replace ? with the TX-I/O module address number.
- Click
to save.
NOTE: If you do not configure this property, you will receive a configuration error.
- Use the drop-down menu to configure the Selected field device type.
- Click
to save.
NOTE: IF you do not configure this property, you will receive a configuration error.
- Click
to create the object.
- The module has been created and can be viewed, edited, and deleted in Object collection > Modules.
If you start to edit an object template and make a mistake, you cannot discard changes and start over. Therefore, you must click to finish creating the object and then click
to delete it.
