You can filter and search activities. Also, you can combine the filter and search functionality.
Predefined values for filter criteria such as Category, System, and Severity are dynamically adjusted based on the availability of log data. This allows you to effectively refine and analyze related activities. If a value is unavailable, it means that the related activity is not logged or is not available in Activity Log.
For example, if the filter criterion Severity does not display the predefined value Low, activities related to low severity are not logged or available.
Follow the steps below to use the filter and search functionality together:
Currently, only one partition can be selected from the available partitions of the company.
- The required partition is selected.
- Activities is displayed.
- Under All activities, click on the Search field and follow any of the steps below:
- For a free text search, enter the activity name or a relevant search string directly into the Search field.
- – For a filtered search, select a filter criterion, select a predefined value, and enter a search string as per the requirement.
- Click .
- All activities that match the filter or search criteria are displayed.
Use case example
For example, when the language of Activity Log is set to English and you search to search for an identity updated event, follow the steps below:
- Activities is displayed.
- Under All activities, click on the Search field and proceed as follows:
- Select the filter criterion Category and then select the predefined value User operation.
- Type the search string as Identity updated.
- Press Enter.
- All the identity updated activities are displayed.
- All the identity updated activities are displayed including the events labeled as Identity, Updated, or Identity Updated.
