ENERGY STAR is a widely recognized program established by the US Environmental protection Agency (EPA) that promotes energy efficiency in various sectors, including residential, commercial and industrial buildings. It provides certification, tools and resources to help property owners and managers improve energy performance, reduce utility costs and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. Each building is assessed and rated with the ENERGY STAR score (1 - 100 points). Buildings that achieve a score of 75 or more qualify for the certification. You can see if your buildings qualify for the ENERGY STAR certification or if any changes are needed to improve the ENERGY STAR score of specific buildings.

To use the service, you need to create an account and configure your buildings on the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager website (https://portfoliomanager.energystar.gov). The next step is to map your buildings in Energy Manager. For more information, see Configuring Energy Star Connector. The Energy Star widgets inside Energy Manager show only successfully mapped buildings.
