This functionality is available in the Total consumption / costs / CO2 emissions widget.
Year-on-year comparison is not compatible with weather normalization. Energy Manager will prompt you to disable weather normalization upon activating this feature.
The year-on-year feature compares values collected for the currently selected period with values collected for the same period one year earlier.
This feature is available in the Dashboard and Site details and offers two views - bar chart and line chart. You can switch between them via More > View
Year-on-year comparison scenarios
- If the time filter is set to shorter than one year, it will show that period and the same period for the preceding 4 years.
- If the period is exactly one year, it will show the 4 years before.
- If the period is longer than one year but not longer than 5 years, it will show the latest year in that period and the preceding 4 years.
- If the period is longer than 5 years, it will do the same as in the previous case but it will not show anything from the earliest part of the period.
Year-on-year comparison: Bar chart
- The current year values are visualized as bars with different colors representing individual years. The chart contains only the total values regardless of the consumption groups. The legend for the colors used in the chart is available at the bottom of the widget. You can place your mouse pointer on one of the available periods to display values for the same period in the previous years as well as the budget information (if enabled).
Year-on-year comparison: Line chart
Each line represents one year. The legend for the colors used in the chart is available at the bottom of the widget. You can place your mouse pointer on one of the available periods to display values for the same period in the previous years as well as the budget information (if enabled).
