Intelligent Valve can control the valve in a heating group in HVAC applications to a flow temperature based on the outside temperature. In this control function, Intelligent Valve assumes the role of the automation station.
In outside temperature-dependent control, the flow temperature [X3] is assigned to the prevailing outside air temperature [X1] via the heating curve. Possible sensor types at [X1] and [X3] are passive sensors with sensing elements LG-Ni-1000, DIN-Ni1000 or Pt 1000 (385/EU); at [X1] active sensors (0...10 V = -50...50 °C) are also possible. The secondary flow temperature sensor [X3] acquires the present flow temperature, and Intelligent Valve controls it to the determined flow temperature setpoint by adjusting the volume flow.
In addition to the heating curve, a weekly timeswitch can also pre-set the room operating mode (Comfort, Pre-Comfort, Economy). The heating curve and the weekly scheduler are set via ABT Go.
The heating circuit pump can be released or locked with the relay [Q1].
The factory setting for the Intelligent Valve application is 2-port; for EXG../EXF.., the object VlvDsgn (Valve design) must be changed to "3-port" in ABT Go or ABT Site.
