Intelligent Valve as a dynamic control valve is part of an HVAC control application on an automation station [N1]. The automation station [N1] sends a setpoint 0…100 % to the Intelligent Valve based on demand. This is done in analog form (0…100 % = DC 0…10 V) or remotely via BACnet IP.

Intelligent Valve follows this setpoint and sets the appropriate volume flow, e.g. in volume flow control mode. The following example depicts this based on a pre-control circuit.

 

The factory setting for the Intelligent Valve application is 2-port; for EXG../EXF.., the object VlvDsgn (Valve design) must be changed to "3-port" in ABT Go or ABT Site.
