1. Select > End User Apps > Alarm Config..
    This is context-sensitive so if you are on a site level, you can see all the points under a site.

  1. If you are on an equipment, you only see the equipment points from that target.

Points Grid
The points grid where the points are listed once an Alarm Configuration is chosen (2).

The available tag bundles configured as "Alarm" type are listed in the drop-down depending on the Point Filter type selected (5).

Add / Edit
You can add or edit the alarm configuration tags that were specified on the tag bundle for selected points in the grid (1).

Remove
You can remove an alarm configuration on selected points in the grid (1) so that they are no longer ready for alarming (another way is to uncheck them from the Grid view under said config column).

Point Filter
You can choose a point type to filter through.

 

Point Filter

  1. In the example, select the Boolean type for the Point Filter.
  • Only boolean type points display.
  1. If you want to apply the filter to multiple points, move up to a higher level in the navigation tree.

Alarm Configuration

You can see available boolean alarm configurations created in the Alarm Configuration drop-down.

  1. For Alarm Configuration, select Boolean Alarms to apply that to points you want to add to selected points.
  1. Once the Boolean Alarms configuration is selected, select the points in the grid that you want to apply this to.

Add / Edit

  1. Select the point.
  1. Select Add/Edit.
  • The Edit/Add dialog box displays.

  1. In Edit/Add dialog box, the tags specified in the tag bundle are added to the points.
  1. Click OK to apply the tags.
  • The point is configured for alarms.

Remove points from Alarm Configuration

  1. To remove a point(s) from a certain alarm configuration, select the point.
  1. Click Remove or uncheck the box under that Alarm Configuration column.
  • The Track Bundle property adds the alarmConfig tag, displaying the current alarm configuration applied to the point.
  • Since the curVal of our boolean point is true, an alarm is generated.
  • The alarm says OCC MODE IS TRUE, specified in the alarmText, displays the name of the point that is currently true.

  • If you toggle the alarmEnable property tag, it prevents the program from running since the programOn filter said it had to be true.
  • If you were to go back to the Alarm Config App and remove the point from that alarm configuration, all the tags would be removed from that point and are not ready for alarming.
