Once you receive the newly updated project database, you can upload it to the Desigo Optic 5 software.
- Confirm the new Desigo Optic 5 license and any custom pods are properly installed into the Desigo Optic 5 software.
- Stop the Desigo Optic 5 service.
- Go to the Desigo Optic 5 software's file directory and locate the var > proj folder.
- Unzip the new project database.
- Drag the database folder into the var > proj folder.
- Start the Desigo Optic service.
- The new database is now ready for you to review.
To verify the database runs as intended, we recommend testing each app. If the database was upgraded from the Desigo Optic 3 legacy version, the sales team will need to re-engineer it.
