The switch is used to build a 'PACE-Net' communication network and to connect 'PACE-Net' digital audio matrices, 'PACE-Net' call stations, Cerberus PACE Compact systems or a PC with the configuration tool 'PACE-Design' installed.

Two 'Ethernet switch (1x4, DIN rail)' PN2008-A1 can be used to build a fully redundant network in tree or chain structure.
A redundant Ethernet connection can be established by connecting a port of one PN2008-A1 with port A (ETH A) and a port of the other PN2008-A1 with port B (ETH B) of the 'PACE-Net' components. If the connection on port A fails, the 'PACE-Net' components use automatically port B for the communication.
