The PTO2001-A1 has two RS232 connectors. One ('CN4') is used to connect PT2001-A1, and the other ('CN3') is used to communicate with the next PTO2001-A1.

To connect RS232 on the first PTO2001-A1, connect the 'RX' on the PT2001-A1 to 'TX' on the PTO2001-A1, 'TX' to 'RX', and 'GND' to 'GND'. Use the cable supplied.
Connect the next PTO2001-A1 RS232 to the previous PTO2001 by 'RX' – 'RX', 'TX' – 'TX', 'GND' - 'GND'. Reconnect the cable supplied, swap Pin 1 and Pin 3 on the previous PTO2001 connector.
