You can create a work order in three different ways:
From the fault details page
The Create work order button is disabled if the fault is in Resolved or False positive status or a work order was already created.
- You are on the Fault details page.
- From the upper right corner, select Create work order.
- The Create work order dialog displays.
- Enter a title for the work order.
- From the Select team dropdown list, select a team.
- (Optional) From the Select assignee dropdown list, select an assignee.
If you select a team without assigning an individual, all members of the selected team receive an email notification after work order is created. If you select a team along with an individual assignee, only the assigned individual receives the email notification. Email notifications are sent only if team details are updated.
To receive email notifications, ensure that the Notification toggle is enabled in the Accounts app.
- From the Priority dropdown list, select a priority.
- (Optional) Select a Target date.
- Enter a comment in the Comment field.
- Select Create.
From the Work order section
- You are on the Fault details page.
- Select Create work order.
- The Create work order dialog displays.
- Enter a title for the work order.
- From the Select team dropdown list, select a team.
- (Optional) From the Select assignee dropdown list, select an assignee.
- From the Priority dropdown list, select a priority.
- (Optional) Select a Target date.
- Enter a comment in the Comment field.
- Select Create.
From the Description section
- You are on the Fault details page.
- In the Description section, change the status of the fault from New to In progress.
- The Change status dialog displays.
- (Optional) Select the Create work order checkbox.
- Enter a title for the work order.
- From the Select team dropdown list, select a team.
- (Optional) From the Select assignee dropdown list, select an assignee.
- From the Priority dropdown list, select a priority.
- (Optional) Select a Target date.
- Enter a comment in the Comment field.
- Select Save.
