Activate and configure events for different types of data points.
Only use this feature with data points that have no event behavior applied in their native field network or Edge app.
Compatible devices
The events feature is only compatible with the following OS and app versions:
- OS5.0.10 -X300 and OS5.0.12 - X200 or later for Edge devices.
- v3.5.1-X300 or v3.5.1-X200 or later for Desigo CC, Connect Hub, and PXC 4/5/7.
Events are available for the following devices:
- Data points onboarded via an Edge app that support this functionality. For more information, refer to the specific Edge app's documentation.
- Edge apps that supports commanding events in Operations Manager. Currently, the Intelligent Valve app does not support this functionality.
- Use this feature only with data points that have no alarm behavior applied in their native network or Edge app.
Activating events
- The site has devices with data points.
- On the Overview page, select the site for which you want to activate Events.
- The site specific view displays.
- In the Building hierarchy, select the piece of equipment that is associated with the data point for which you want to activate events.
Alternatively, you can access the data point via the Devices page.
- In the Overview tab, select the data point.
- The details pane opens on the right side of the screen.
- Scroll down until you see the Event settings section.
- Activate the toggle button to enable the events for this data point.
- Follow the instructions below for the settings specific to the data point type (two-state, high-low level or multi-state).
- (Optional) In the Notification section, activate the toggle button, to send an email or SMS on the event.
The email address and mobile number for SMS is defined in the Accounts app.
- (Optional) Enter a Notification message that is sent via email on the event.
For two-state data points
- From the State dropdown list, select an event state.
- From the Category dropdown list, select the appropriate event category.
For high-low value data points
- In the Low limit field, enter a low limit value for the event, or use the up and down arrows.
- In the High limit field, enter a value that is higher than the low limit, or use the up and down arrows.
If the value is equal to or less than the low limit value, the event configuration is disabled.
- From the Category dropdown list, select the appropriate event category.
For multi-state data point
- From the State dropdown list, select an event state.
- From the Category dropdown list, select the appropriate event category.
If all or no states are selected, the Event settings section is in Read-Only mode and the Activated toggle cannot be enabled.
