• You are logged in as a user with administrator rights on the VMS server.
  1. Perform the InstallVideoApi.msi.
  1. Click Next.
  1. Make sure that the following components are marked for installation:
  • API Proxy/Media Player
  • Video API Service
  1. Click Next.
  1. In the Service User field, enter [server name]\[account name]. [server name] is the name of the server where VideoAPI is installed and [account name] is the name of the user account that was created for the Video API service, for example mhfr1383v\videoapi. It is recommended to use only small letters. For more information refer to: Configuring Video API Service User Account.
  1. In the Service Password field, enter the password.
  1. Make sure that the Auto-detect local VMS check box and the Auto-sync VMS check box are marked.
  1. Activate the Enable HTTPS (Reverse proxy via system IIS) check box.
  1. Activate the REST Api Token check box.
  • The REST Api Token will be automatically generated.
  1. You can change the value for REST Api token if required.
  1. Store the REST Api Token in a save location. The token is needed to establish connection to Siveillance Control.
  1. Make sure, that the Enable Active MQ Broadcast options and the Enable Cloud Broadcast options check boxes are deactivated.
  1. Click Next.
  1. Click Install.
  1. Click Finish.
