The Video API requires .NET 6 Runtime, ASP.NET 6 Runtime, .NET Framework 4.7.2.
The .NET Framework 4.7.2 or higher is installed on each computer. The computer is rebooted after the .NET installation is complete but before any Video API installation has begun. The .NET software can be downloaded from a Microsoft website.
A 64-bit system is required for the MSI file of the Video API.
Both installers request-router.msi and url-rewrite.msi from the coresdk-x.zip bundle in Setup\iis-reverse-proxy need to be installed on the VMS server.
The VMS (Video Management System) Siveillance Video or Milestone XProtect is installed on a Windows computer (VMS server). For operating system requirements refer to: Video Integrations by Means of Video API in Planning.
Subsystem video clients are installed on the machine where the spot monitor and the alarm monitor are displayed.
The systems are connected over the network and can also access each other.
The FQDN (Full Qualified Domain Name) and DNS (Domain Name Server) are configured so that client machines can find the servers.
For reliable behavior, the time on all servers in the system is synchronized. For this, all computers and the cameras are assigned to a common NTP (Net Time Protocol) server as time manager.
