- Move cylinders using suitable handling equipment.
- Do not remove the cylinder protection cap until the cylinder is secured in its rack.
- Do not install cylinders in an area where unauthorized access is possible.
If this cannot be avoided, install movable guards to prevent unauthorized access while allowing maintenance activities.
NOTICE
- Secure cylinders in the racks before fitting the discharge hoses.
Mounting cylinders into a standard rack
- Check that the rack is installed and secured.
- Position the cylinder in the rack.
Always install cylinders upright.
- Mount the threaded rods, the clamp, and the nuts.
- Tighten the nuts partially to contain the cylinder in the rack but allow for position adjustment if needed.
- Adjust the orientation of the water head outlet if necessary.
- Fully tighten the nuts to secure the cylinder in the rack.
- Remove the protective cap only when connecting the cylinder to the extinguishing system.
Mounting cylinders into a rack with a weighing device
- Check that the rack is installed and secured.
- Place the cylinder close to the rack.
- Remove the protective cap.
- Fully screw the weighing device flange on the cylinder.
- Unscrew the flange until its holes are perpendicular to the water head outlet.
- Carefully position the cylinder in the rack under the weighing device so that the water head outlet points to the left.
- Insert the threaded rods through the flange holes and tighten with the nuts.
- Uplift the cylinder by turning the rod at the top of the weighing device.
