Inspection
Risk of hearing impairment
The alarm sound is very loud.
- Always wear hearing protection when performing operations on a pneumatic alarm horn.
- Check that the product is in good condition.
- Check that each fitting has been properly tightened using the appropriate wrench. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Activate the pneumatic alarm horn periodically.
- If the alarm is not properly sounded, check that the pneumatic alarm horn gets enough gas.
- Check that the pilot cylinder provides enough gas. If CO2 is used for piloting, check that the gas is not odorized and that the cylinder has no dip tube.
- Check that the piping is in good condition and leak-free. Check that the pilot hoses are in good condition, and they are not stretched, compressed, or twisted.
