CAUTION
Do not use any grease or lubricant to mount a pressure reducer.
CAUTION
Use this product exclusively with gaseous extinguishants.
In a system that uses a CO2 cylinder as a pilot cylinder, the cylinder must not be equipped with a dip tube.
Pre-mounting:
- Ensure that all products (hoses, fittings, etc.) mounted on the same circuit as the pressure reducer are free of dust and particles. Blow out the products with dry gas, if necessary.
- Ensure that the pilot cylinder valve is isolated (remove the solenoid actuator from the cylinder valve, for instance).
Refer to the installation instructions for details.
Checking the outlet pressure
The outlet pressure is set to 8 bar at the factory. No further setting is required.
- Mount a test pressure gauge on the outlet fitting of the pressure reducer.
- Connect the pressure reducer to a test cylinder equipped with a manual valve, with a pressure equivalent to that of the pilot cylinder. Use the test coupling joint, for instance.
- Open the valve of the test cylinder slowly.
- Check the outlet pressure measured by the pressure gauge on the test pressure reducer.
- Slowly close the manual valve of the test cylinder and vent the circuit.
- Put the pilot circuit back into operation.
