You can close messages without processing in case of false alarms for example. Some messages have to be in quiet state before closing them. However, not all submessages need to be in quiet state, too, because these submessages are then transferred as new main message to the Message List view. You can always close system messages. Keep in mind, once an incoming message is closed, the user can no longer perform OPSs, even if some might still be waiting for confirmation. If a mandatory OPS is configured for a message, the mandatory OPS must be performed successfully, before closing a message.

Behavior of Submessages

When closing a message, the system tries to close all submessages for this message, too. The following solutions are available:

  • The submessages are in quiet state: When you close a message containing submessages that can be closed, this message behaves like a normal message.
  • The submessage cannot be closed. In this case, the message can be closed, but the submessage is converted to a new main message.
