In the License Management Utility, there are 3 operation modes:
- Full
- Remote
- Restricted
Full Mode: In this operation mode, user can access all the activation methods.
Full operation mode supports both trusted store and certificate license.
Remote Mode: This operation mode do not support Trusted Store operations at this system, only allow to use Certificate operation.
You can work on any trusted store (TS) and server-based certificate (CERT) licenses that are available on client in remote server mode.
Restricted Mode: When LMU is running in an restricted environment, LMU operation mode is set to “Restricted”. This operation mode does not support Trusted Store operation.
The title bar displays "Operation Mode: Restricted” and the tooltip shows “Local Server/VMware Workstation”
Restricted environment has fewer activation options and hence user has limited access when compared to the LMU installed in a Trusted environment.
