This configuration window is used to set the behaviour of the logic control inputs.

'Logic control inputs – Connector' page

Each input is able to handle a different task. A selection of parameters is available for each function (see tables).

Logic control input example

DI1

Mains failure

DI2

Battery failure

DI3 and DI4

Use of PT2002 with PTO2009 (2x DC 24 V feed). Always set 'used for logging'.

Function

Description

'Test & Quit Key'

Used for 'System state indicator (19")' PT2004 and 'System state indicator (door)' PT2007. Manual Silencing of faults for audible indication of faults (buzzer). Also used for silencing the voice alarm condition.

'GP' flag:

  • If set, then all enabled outputs should be tested
  • If not set, only specific outputs should be tested
    • GP_OUT
    • System Fault
    • System Fault Buzzer
    • System Variable with SysVarID=5 (voice alarm)
    • System Variable with SysVarID=6 (silence alarm)

'Alarm Start'

A positive edge on the corresponding logic control input starts an alarm.

Parameters:

  1. (Wave#) Number of the SD card file. e.g. 4 stand for “004.wav”
  2. (Key ID) optional: push a key (emulate keypad key), should be a zone select key, which contains the zones to evaluate
  3. (of station) Station Id of the station containing the alarm file

‘GP’ flag:

  • If set, the alarm will trigger an ‘All Call’
  • If not set, no additional action is taken

'Alarm Stop'

A positive edge on the corresponding logic control input stops an alarm.

'GP' flag:

  • If set, then all zones are deselected
  • If not set, then no additional action is taken

'EN 54-16: Alarm Manual Silence'

Manual silencing of the voice alarm condition. (Option 7.6.2 in EN 54-16)

'GP' flag:

  • If set, on
    • 'Starting': all zones are selected;
    • 'Stopping': all zones are deselected
  • If not set, no additional action is taken

'EN 54-16: System Fault Reset'

Manual reset of fault indications.

'GP' flag:

  • If set, just local use of information
  • If not set, information over the network is distributed

'EN 54-16: Alarm Manual Reset'

Manual reset of the voice alarm condition. (Option 7.7.2 in EN 54-16)

'GP' flag:

  • If set, force running alarm to be resetted
  • If not set, manual reset does not reset running alarm triggered via contacts from BMZ

'Alarm Start/Stop'

Triggers a pre-recorded alarm message, stored on a SD card, from a target station. A virtual or real button can be created to trigger the alarm message; this makes operation easier. Positive edge of the logic control input starts the alarm message. A negative edge stops the alarm message.

Parameters:

4. (Wave#) Number of the SD card file. e.g. 4 stand for “004.wav”

5. (Key ID) optional: push a key (emulate keypad key), should be a zone select key, which contains the zones to evaluate

6. (of station) Station Id of the station containing the alarm file

‘GP’ flag:

  • If set, the alarm will trigger an ‘All Call’
  • If not set, no additional action is taken

'Disablement Condition'

This feature is used to suppress the error messages of the 'LineDetection' card for a specific speaker line.

The supplied parameters:

  • 1...16: are used to specify the speaker line
  • 0: all speaker lines are set in disablement condition

'Start SD-Sound'

A positive edge on the corresponding logic control input runs a message of the file name '#Wave/Key ID' from the station 'of Station'.

Only the local station is supported at the current time. To start an SD audio message from a remote station, the function 'Emulate Keypad Key' is used.

'GP' flag:

  • If set, then: Feeding of analog audio input 1 depends on logic control input
  • If not set, then: Feed analog audio 1 as configured

'Stop SD-Sound'

Stop the playback of the station 'of Station'.

'Trigger Audio Channel'

If defined, audio is only fed into the network if this contact is active high. Local audio is always played. To make sure the local outputs behave like the network feeds, enable the 'GP' flag.

'GP' flag:

  • If set, then always play the local analog audio output
  • If not set, then local analog audio output depends on logic control input

'Emulate Keypad Key'

Use parameters 'KeyID' to select requested Key and 'StationID' to select the Requested Station. The 'GP' Flag is used in this mode if the 'Talk Button' is automatically selected.

'GP' flag:

  • If set, then the 'Talk Button' is also emulated
  • If not set, then the 'Talk button' must not be emulated

'Enable Alarm Keys'

This is used together with the PT2001 'Desk call stat. (19 buttons)' and a key switch, so an evacuation call cannot be triggered inadvertently. Buttons with the 'ALARM KEY' flag on the PT2001 'Desk call stat. (19 buttons)' keypad can only be pressed if this logic control input is in the logic high state.

Running on Battery

When the station is running on battery, this function can be used to save power (e.g., background music is muted). Click on the relevant checkbox in the 'GP' column to distribute this information in the network.

'GP' flag:

  • If set, then: information over the network is distributed
  • If not set, then just local use of information

AVC Monitoring Fault

Faults on the AVC monitoring system are detected, the AVC calculation is skipped, and the AVC value is not attenuated (also see chapter 'Setting up automatic volume control (AVC)').

'Talk', 'Zone Select', 'Select All', 'Select None'

PT2001 'Desk call stat. (19 buttons)' functions controlled via logic control inputs.

Zone Select ‘GP’ flag

  • If set, state controlled key: set on high, reset on low
  • If not set, edge controlled key: toggle state with each low-> high transition

Amplifier sense

For connection to the fault relays of an amplifier via logic control input. Used in the backup concept to determine whether the amplifier is working correctly and, in case of a fault, to switch to a backup amplifier.

'GP' flag:

  • If set, then configure as a 2-way backup amplifier
  • If not set, then configure as a 1-way backup amplifier

'General purpose (informational)', 'Amplifier sense', 'Temperature sensor (informational)', 'Other (informational)'

General purpose logic control inputs.

Parameters

Description

'Wave #''

Name of the SD file. Example: 4 means '004.wav'.

'Key ID'

Optional key press ('Emulate Keypad Key'); should be a zone select key, which contains the zones to evacuate.

'of Station'

Station ID of the station containing the alarm file.

'GP'

When the parameter is enabled, the alarm triggers a global call.
