Open a snapshot without a *.ssi file

Several snapshots are organized via a snapshot index (*.ssi). This index file is required to open the metadata in the underlaying folders.

When you receive a snapshot, the needed part of the index file is usually not included. In most cases, the snapshot is a packed folder. Unpack the folder to a folder of your choice.

Open the snapshot dialog window via the file toolbar and click on 'Open Project Snapshot' or press <Ctrl> + <O>.

Select the 'PACE-Design Snapshot (dynamic.dta)' in the 'Objecttype' drop-down menu.

Navigate in the 'Search in' drop-down menu to the folder of the new snapshot and open it.

This procedure is needed just once! Since the snapshot index file 'snapshots.ssi' is updated, subsequent loading can be done directly via the snapshot index.
