The Cerberus PACE Compact PC1001 and PC1002 backup amplifier system is part of digital audio matrix board. It offers a 1-channel backup.

To use the backup function, a backup amplifier is required to be mounted on the designated slot of digital audio matrix board.

A pilot tone amplifier is required if the backup amplifier shall be supervised in normal operating mode.

Before you configure the backup function you must configure the speaker line supervision first. See Setup the line detection card.

Configure the speaker line supervision

  1. Open the configuration page 'Amplifier and Speakerlines' > 'DSPSupervision' tab of the Cerberus PACE Compact station.
  1. Enable these flags: 'Pilot Tone', 'Line Detection' and 'Backup Control'. For further details see DSP supervision (C).
  1. Configure the required speaker line monitoring in 'Amplifier and Speakerlines' > ‘Speakerlines’ tab. For further details see 'Speakerlines' (D).

Configure the speaker line backup control

  1. Open the configuration page 'Amplifier and Speakerlines' > ‘DSPSupervision’ > 'Backup Control'.
  1. Set the 'Amplifier channels' to '1-channel'.
  1. In 'Enable Backup In', unselect all 4 options (1...4).
  1. Unselect the options 'Use Amp Sense' and 'Use Backup Mux'.
  1. Set the 'Backup Stations' and 'Backup Master' to the own station ID.
