The PT2003 'Fire brigade call station (485, AT)' can be configured according to the EN 54-16 and the 'Austrian F3033' standard.

The PT2003 can be configured without the configuration of the hook-off switch or with it ('Austrian F3033').

In the configuration without the hook-off switch, the hook-off switch is not used. When the microphone is taken from its mount, the system does not react. By pressing the <Push-To-Talk> button (PTT) all zones are silenced, a configured pre-announcement tone will be played, and the microphone is active.

In the configuration with the use of the hook-off switch ('Austrian F3033'), the system will be silenced immediately when the microphone is taken from its mount. By pressing the <Push-To-Talk> button (PTT) a configured pre-announcement tone will be played, and the microphone is active.

A timeout is required to ensure that the zones will be released after the timeout.

Prepare the configuration

  1. PACE-Design: use the latest software - version PACE-Design V1.3.3 Build 307 SR2 or higher is required.
  1. Digital audio matrix: use the latest firmware - DSP Firmware v1.3 B5-12 or higher is required - update accordingly
  1. PT2003: use the latest firmware - BusDevice_Type05_FF_V4.0 or higher is required - update PT2003 accordingly.

Common configuration

  1. Activate the UART of the station in the 'External UART & Cyclic Settings' tab of the 'Peripherals and Logging' window and set the UART Protocol to 'PACE-Bus protocol'
  1. In the 'PACE-Bus' tab, select the PT2003 from the 'Device' drop-down menu.
  1. Set the 'Callstation Priority' to 'Evac' (highest priority). See 'Fire brigade call station (485, AT)' PT2003 configuration.
  1. In the 'PACE-Bus' tab, press the 'Configure Keys' button, open in the virtual keypad the drop-down menu of the button 35 'TALK' with a right-click, move to 'Flags' and activate the 'Use Macros' flag.
  1. Double click on the button 35 'TALK' to open the 'Macro Definition of Key 35 (TALK)' window.
  1. Click in the 'Press' area and configure a 'TALK Timeout' in seconds and (if required) a pre-announcement tone.

Configuration without the hook-off switch

Make sure that the 'Austrian F3033 Behavior' selector in the'PACE-Bus' tab is not activated.

Activate the 'Austrian F3033 Behavior' selector in the 'PACE-Bus' tab. The 'Talk-Timeout' must be <300 s. It is recommended to set it <290 s.
