AVC is useful in noisy environments, to automatically adjust the output volume of stations, in case the noise level increases.

The performance of this feature is dependent on the hardware setup of the measurement microphone and the speakers. Analog audio input 4 (IN4) of a digital audio matrix is the dedicated input for connecting the measurement microphone.
